Scotty Morrison asks if the league's latest safety initiatives are enough? The short answer is "No Fucking Way!" Until players are held accountable for their actions, whether it's by way of suspensions that force them to pay with their wallet, or removal of the instigator rule that makes em pay with their own blood, the NHL is not doing enough to protect its players.

Excellent article here by Michael Farber, but I have to disagree with the title. The league's "moral compass" has been buried since Gil Stein was president. It was brought to the surface when Stein's questionable induction to the HHOF was reversed, but it was put back in the ground immediately after that. There are way too many times during the buttman era where the league could have done the right thing, but it has failed time and time again.
